I've always liked painting, but my interest was always rather on-and-off until the last few years, when visits to the many excellent shows of 20th Century painting both in the UK and Europe finally got me hooked. Favourite influences include Picasso, Franz Kline, Euan Uglow, Callum Innes and Eduardo Chillida (he's better known as a sculptor but get a load of those fabulous etchings). Artists Statement here.
