It's not unusual for musicians to paint, and the two disciplines seem to take turns in being uppermost in my mind. I enjoy the way musical and visual ideas feed into one other, not least when it comes to finding titles for works. Most of my work consists of abstract pictures in oil and acrylic, with an increasing tendency towards larger formats, but I also do etching and the occasional piece of sculpture. Strangely, my favourite artists all seem to be Spanish - Chillida, Tapies, Picasso.
